Geoff Nicholls, the owner of Nicholls Machinery, has been involved in the farming, contracting, general and forestry indusrtries from 1960 to 1980. Later Geoff was involved in heavy machinery sales, new Komatsu and Timberjack Iwa-fuji forestry equipment sales and Hyundai new sales. Nicholls Machinery was established in 1988 with importing from Japan, and also Geoff was the area agent for Komatsu and from 1994 the area agent for new Hyundai.
Currently Geoff is a major importer of used heavy machinery from Japan and also brand new small machinery such as plate compactors, concrete cutters, pumps and genset/welders from China.
After visiting China and seeing the advanced quality in their manufactoring techniques, Geoff is now importing concrete and farm implements from China.
Nicholls Machinery has been a major supplier of construction machinery and plant in the lower North Island since 1988. This includes government, local authorities, contractors and farmers.
